Fun games - leg weaving!

One of my favorite games to play is leg weaving!

It's not only easy to teach, but there are lots of ways to leg weave, you can leg weave going frontwards, backwards, standing still or while walking.

In this video we start with our 'danger' move, when I go between Mum's legs to my safe place :) Then we moved on to me weaving around both legs, then we progressed to weaving while Mum walks. Enjoy, and have fun!

Heeling

Teaching tricks is a fun and interactive process - for both, the handler and the dog. It's much more fun than what we (at least where I live) call "old school" obedience, meaning mostly heeling with some other obedience elements every now and then. I think that getting an excited heel from the dog is kind of an art, for the same reason that I mentioned before - teaching and training it is not much fun, so dogs will often get bored. But is it possible to make heeling more fun? I think that all people who can make their dogs think heeling is fun, shouldn't have any problems convincing them everything else they do is also fun!

There is absolutely no reason why one shouldn't teach everything as a combination of tricks - even heeling, for example. I made a video of my new puppy learning the heel position through a combination of tricks. We learned this method in Silvia Trkman's puppy school and I am very happy with it so far. Fun Game - Go to your Mark!

Here's a fun game we like to play. Mum's been working not only me going to my mark, but doing other tricks while I'm on the mark at a distance from Mum. Fun stuff!

It's agility season and Xsara and I have been super busy - competing and training. Apologies for not posting regularly.

But we've got a good one for ya! Silvia Trkman got a new pup recently, a BC named Bi. And what a cutie she is. A few tricks for a rainy day!

Hi there, Johann here! It's been raining a lot here in Indiana the past week, so Mum, Gracie and I had some fun with a few tricks.

One of the new ones is playing with a box. Gracie had some fun, but I had a lot of fun with the box. And Gracie's new trick is saying, bye, bye! It's become her favorite. Hope you enjoy and if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to share!

I thought it was about time for another fun link project! And we'd love for lots of dog bloggers to participate. It's fun!

I absolutely love learning new tricks. And there are so many tricks us pups can do, all we need is to learn them. I've learned a lot of tricks, but I know there are many more I can have fun doing. And I know all of us pups would love a cool list of fun tricks we can learn and do with our humans. So, I put together this Fun Dog Tricks Train, for us to all have a great list of tricks!
